Four weeks after his latest LP debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 with more than 1 million copies sold, rapper Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III returns next week to the chart's peak, outselling Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends — which has occupied the #1 spot for the last two weeks — by just 6,000 copies.
The two albums continue to be the year's biggest sellers, with Wayne's opus nearing the 1.7 million sales mark and Coldplay's record just passing 1.1 million in sales, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. Wayne owes much to the 40 percent sales hit Viva la Vida suffered, which allowed him to regain the chart's coveted top spot. Read More
